Why is Cisco at Firebrand different?
Firebrand’s accelerated CCNA course offers you access to more equipment than most of our competitors.
There are many Cisco training providers and the equipment used can vary greatly. Several use remote labs where you never see the actual equipment but do exercises based on a connection to a rack of equipment “somewhere”…
At Firebrand we see things differently. We believe that in your first exposure to Cisco you should see, feel, and touch the kit. You need to know about interfaces and ports, but not by seeing a PowerPoint slide or a diagram, rather by actually connecting cables to the router or switch.
You’ll work in pairs and share a “pod” of equipment located in a rack. You have your own 2811 router and 2960 switch, access to additional equipment such as a Frame-Relay switch, along with additional routers and switches should you wish to tinker.
The equipment we supply, alongside 24 hour lab access, gives you the tools to prepare you both for the CCNA exams, more importantly, the real world.
With Firebrand, you benefit from top-quality education in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so you can focus solely on your studies and certification goals.
You’ll get a robust set of course materials that cater to each of our three key individual learning styles (auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic-tactile) - critical for a successful learning experience.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodation and vendor exam fees.

Students that are successful in the Cisco CCNA training course are required to meet the following prerequisites:
We interview all applicants for the course on their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and general suitability. If you get through this screening process, it means you stand a great chance of passing.
Firebrand Training is an immersive training environment. You must be committed to the course. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

"Be prepared for some long hours and plenty of hard work. Prior to the CCNA course I had never even logged into a router or switch, but with some hard work and a great instructor I managed to pass the mid-week exam to gain the CCENT qualification and just fell short of gaining the full CCNA by 3%. With the course materials and my new knowledge I feel confident of passing the CCNA in the very near future."
SD, Cable & Wireless Guernsey Ltd..

"Very good location, extremely good instructors and a good atmosphere. I did MCSE 2003 at home on my own and it was not the same. It is so good having other people to talk to about the subject. Also being away from home means much more time is spent learning and not being distracted. I strongly recommend Firebrand Training to anybody wanting to get qualified (and quick too!)"
Tom Sage, Balfour Beatty (interroute).

Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (24/3/2008 to 29/3/2008)
"The content and week was very busy, it definately taught me about the course I was there to learn about, but more importantly it taught me about myself. The environment is carefully geared towards students studying and achieving the best results. The ammount of content is mind blowing, and is a feat to fit a whole CCNA in 4 day of teaching, but the tutor did it, and taught me - with no Cisco experience enough to pass the course."
PP, Grey Convergence.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (3/12/2007 to 8/12/2007)

Andrew Williams, The Ecclesbourne School.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (3/8/2009 to 8/8/2009)
"Great learning experience!"
Keith Mills, Steria.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (3/12/2007 to 8/12/2007)
"The CCNA course is very intensive. The amount you can learn in such a small time is incredible. Pre-reading is a must though, some of the concepts are difficult to grasp with the pace of the curriculum making it difficult to catch up. The instructors are always staying behind and coming in early to help, so any problems and questions can be quickly resolved. Although I didnt recieve the full CCNA at the end of this course, it was more down to my lack of experience with Cisco equiptment that than anything at all to do with the training."
Christopher Brett, contract.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (4/1/2010 to 9/1/2010)
"It was a very full, interactive and useful course and the qualifications gained will be incredibly useful in finding employment."
M.D, Unemployed.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (1/6/2009 to 6/6/2009)
"My experience at Firebrand Training, provided a highly focused review of the key exam topics. I would readily recommend this form of training to individuals that have a fundamental understanding of networking concepts and Cisco Technologies; for those new to the industry, however, pick up a book before attending: the speed and intensity of the course will otherwise kill you."
Gordon Speck, Stockport College.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (30/6/2008 to 5/7/2008)
"For those looking for first-rate instructors and hands on experience, Firebrand Training is the way to go. The instructors are available until late into the night, and the classroom with the equipment is available 24/7. It is a very good setup."
D, United States Department of Defense.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (14/9/2009 to 19/9/2009)
"Totally met my expectations."
C.A., NATS Ltd.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (1/12/2008 to 6/12/2008)
"On arriving I was already fatigued with pre reading and the drive to the site. Initially I found that I was unable to cope. However the instructor was very supportive and very understanding, with this I started to catch up and with his help got up to speed. The important thing is to be ready for this course, if needed stay the night before. Get a good night sleep."
Trevor Potts, Redundant.
