The goal of this six (6) day accelerated course is to teach students a base-line technical knowledge of Internet, Intranet and e-commerce technologies, independent of specific Internet-related career roles. Successful students will have mastered the fundamental knowledge and skills required to work in an Internet technology-enabled environment. These foundational skills include basic knowledge of Internet technologies such as Web browsers, FTP and e-mail; Web page authoring using Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML); basic infrastructure networking, and project management.
Those holding CompTIA i-Net+ certification can demonstrate knowledge and competency implementing and maintaining Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructures and services as well as the development of related applications. The CompTIA i-Net+ certification exam validates base-line technical knowledge of Internet, Intranet and e-commerce technologies, independent of specific Internet-related career roles. Those holding CompTIA i-Net+ certification can demonstrate knowledge and competency implementing and maintaining Internet, Intranet and Extranet infrastructures and services as well as the development of related applications.

CIW EXAM INFORMATION
The candidate is responsible for learning the content and achieving a passing score on the CIW Foundations exam. Comments regarding course delivery should be referred to the training company or educational institution that delivered the course.
Any 1D0-510 Foundations exam will be subject to the following:
- Each delivery of the exam will include a random selection of 85 items.
- The examination period will be 90 minutes.
To achieve a passing score on the 1D0-510 CIW Foundations exam, candidates must:
- Correctly answer at least 54 of the 85 questions to achieve a total score of 63% or greater.
- Internet Fundamentals: 24 items
- Web Page Authoring Fundamentals: 12 items
- Networking Fundamentals: 24 items
- Total Scored Items: 60 items
- Beta items - randomly delivered throughout exam: 10 items
- Total : 70 items
Each multiple-choice item offers four solutions or distracters. Exam candidates must select the one best solution for each item.
After passing the CIW Foundations exam, candidates are eligible for CIW Associate status. To obtain your CIW Associate certificate, you must log on to the CIW Candidate Information Center to verify your address and complete the CIW Certification Agreement. Your certificate will not be mailed until you complete this step.

Examination Passing Policy

Students who are successful in the the CompTIA i-Net+/CIW Associate Dual Certification Firebrand Training should possess:
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Windows or Linux
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
