A Firebrand Training
7
Day Course
SSCP Certification was designed to recognize an international standard for practitioners of information security [IS] and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). It focuses on practices, roles and responsibilities as defined by experts from major IS industries. Certification can enhance an IS career and provide added credibility.
The goal of this seven-day accelerated course is to provide IT and information security professionals with a fully-immersed, zero-distraction, all-inclusive SSCP training and certification experience.
Our SSCP Firebrand Training encompasses the (ISC)2 SSCP CBK Review Seminar, intense hands-on instruction, on-site examination delivery, meals, and accommodation.
SSCP accreditation provides information security personnel and their employers with international credibility. It also gives their employers a reliable measure of professional competence. As the demand for SSCP certification has more than doubled in the past year, Firebrand Training has responded with an all-inclusive, hands-on, seven-day training program tailored specifically to its knowledge requirements.
The key advantage of authorized (ISC)2 Institute Training is fundamental: The institute's goal is to provide an extensive overview of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), the compendium of information security practices and standards compiled and continually updated by (ISC)2 and used as the basis for the SSCP exam.
The benefits listed below are but a few of the advantages you can receive when doing business with an (ISC)2 host partner. Only authorised host partners:

Information security professionals invest substantially in information assets, including technology, architecture and process. But how can protection of these assets be ensured? Only through the strengths of the professionals in charge.
Industry standards, ethics and certification of IS professionals and practitioners becomes critical to ensuring a higher standard for security is achieved. ISC2, as the only not-for-profit consortium charged with maintaining, administering and certifying IS professionals in the Common Body of Knowledge [CBK], is the premier resource for IS professionals worldwide.
When you have certified personnel on staff, your company is operating at a known level of professional competency. Your risks are lowered and your liabilities decreased. Customers and investors are assured that your company can protect their investment. SSCPs have demonstrated their extensive knowledge of security administration. They have the ability to implement and maintain highly secure systems and to respond quickly to problems and violations. They reduce your risks and limit potential reputation, financial and business losses.
SSCP certification reduces training costs, as well by identifying highly qualified individuals for your security positions; people that can train and mentor your staff and improve their security awareness. A company-mandated certification program improves employee morale by creating a consistent career path that guarantees an employee's skills will remain current. It also improves your ability to attract and retain a highly competent staff.
Other training providers rely heavily on lecture, self-testing and self-study.
Our approach is highly varied and interactive to keep your attention, promote teamwork, and reinforce knowledge gained through hands-on learning.
You will:
Be Immersed into a distraction-free environment - escaping your normal routine and focusing purely on learning.
Experience Accelerated Learning methods – designed to help you learn much more quickly, spend less time out of the office, and see returns from your investment straight away.
Be Measured through on-site exam testing - creating a complete feedback loop that ensures you understand the subject thoroughly.
With Firebrand Training, you will learn more.

"A well paced and well balanced Prince2 2009 course conducted by friendly and helpful tutor."
A.S, NHS.
"The CCNA course is no doubt difficult to say the least, but with the instructors help Ive managed to pass the CCENT and CCNA, and I've never had any experience with Cisco equipment before!
The course is thorough, well taught. Just make sure you cram in enough reading and sleep to perform at your best! 10/10 for this course!!"
Jaimin Rao, unemployed.
"Expect to work hard in this total immersion environment and you will achieve your expectations. I chose Firebrand Training for my Microsoft SharePoint 2007 training needs as I had a previous good experience with them."
B.B, MOD.
"The accelerated learning CCNA course will develop existing skills but the speed of delivery of material is such that without prior experience you are unlikely to succeed. Take time to gain some experience and knowledge in the area of study prior to enrolling on a course."
J.E, MOD.
"It was good. For a person in with my personal circumstances, it is the only way I could have achieved this kind of focus on the course material. The place is well run and very accomodating. As the particular course I did was hugely intense, the tutor offered great support and had a teaching style which would have appealed to a wide audience."
Peter McCormack, Pinewood Technologies.
"Very educational and productive, provides excellent knowledge levels and degree of detail required to successfully complete the desired training level certification. I enrolled on the MCITP SQL Server 2008 course because of previous experience with Firebrand and recommendations with colleagues and comments."
K.K, Xerox UK.
"Great SQL Server 2008 course. Tutor was superb. Loads of real world examples and expertise. Not just another Microsoft course."
Phil Pragnell, Collins Stewart.
"I attended the CCNA 6-day intensive course. It really is intensive, but coming in as someone without much experience in the area, the Firebrand trainer provided expert coaching and a great course with labs and examples to get me a really good pass score in the time. I highly recommend Firebrand!"
Pav Kudlac, Accenture.
"Outstanding course, the training centre was entirely focused on the course. The days were long but if you arrive expecting to work hard and are willing to put the effort it definitely pays off. I wont be going to other training centres after this."
Lindsey Keen, Pinewood Technologies.
"Without this type of training I wouldn't pass my CCNA exams!"
Miro Ivanovic, Cisco Systems.
"I would definitely use the service again as the accelerated learning minimizes the impact on my time."
R.G, Covidien Ltd.
"No sleep, no rest, fast paced training at a extremely high level. No phones or distractions. Focus, focus, focus! Good food, excellent trainers and staff and fun at the same time. Tales from your fellow classmates and trainers about real world experience. Now, there is the concept for learning!"
Lars Eriksson, Systemasis.
"I survived Firebrand Training and PASSED ! "
John Ashton, Somerset County Council.
"Overall, my experience at Firebrand Training was a positive one. The instructor was extrememly knowledgeable and had an excellent way of explaining often complicated concepts, in a manner that was easy to understand. However, for me personally, the intensity of the learning didn't leave me with adequate capacity for exam preparation, in terms of time and energy."
Carl Johnston, National Institute for Health Research.
"Firebrand provide a comfortable and intense learning environment to gain the relevant qualification for the work environment. Be prepared to work hard.
"
Nigel Morgans, Self employed and PICT.
"I will reflect on this post exam and provide further feedback through the website."
G.H, Not given.
"The Firebrand Training instructor is a font of knowledge and experience in the IT field. The instructors varied and extensive career augmented was conveyed brilliantly using a making the subject interesting by his enthusiasm smattered with anecdotes proving a great combo - was nice to be at Firebrand again - look forward to coming back"
S.H, Government Services.
"This course was intense and fast paced. But gave me the opportunity to focus on passing my certification with all the resources I needed to succeed."
Craig Warren, PA Consulting.
"My Firebrand experience was tough. You need a good foundation of knowledge and the ability to learn quickly to go with it. The classes sometimes feel that they are going at 100 miles an hour. If you can keep up it is great. The trainers really know their stuff and bring together all of the components in such a way that it makes really good sense. I learnt loads, over and above my considerable industry experience, and of course where else can you achieve MCSE in 2 weeks?"
Martin Bowker, unemployed.
"Be ready to work harder than you expect to. "
I.H, Catlin Underwriting.
"As a returning student I was pleasantly surprised with the welcome and support I received. We were all old friends. All my needs were met and it was a pleasure to attend the MCSE course. I did not expect to get new enrollments of Measureups and extra stationary, but thank you. The new facilities certainly make it an enjoyable study venue, well done."
K.H, Unemployed.
"Excellent .NET 3.5 course content, learnt loads. Expect lack of sleep."
R.M, Agresso.
"an excellent course. Fast Pace!!"
Brenda Worger, health industry.

"Excellent facility with a very good balance between the learning techniques employed. I chose Firebrand Training for my CCNA course because of the cost, course date, availability and on-site facilities (although not used)."
S.B, Royal Navy.
"Excellent course with well informed and helpful instructor."
Fergus Prone, The Danwood Group Limited.
"The pre-training information promised 12 hour days and full immersion in the learning process and delivered on that promise."
K.B, university.
"Started badly though station pick up but after that it was excellent through out. The ITIL Foundation residential course was intensive but instructor was high quality and very aware of students needs."
D.D, Parlimentry ict.
"I achieved my objectives and am now off to recover from the long hours and severe intensity."
Richard Bradley, Myself.
"This is a fantastic experience. Prepare well and buckle down for your time there, you'll seldom have access to such expertise. Be sure to take a few days off afterwards to recover. You'll deserve it after your achievements at Firebrand."
