Linux LPI Level 1 Certification - Overview

The goal of this seven-day accelerated program for Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) Level 1 and CompTIA Linux+ Certification is to provide professionals with the basic hardware, software, and networking skills necessary to function in an entry level Linux information technology position. The course covers all the major Linux distributions (Red Hat, Caldera, SuSE, Debian, TurboLinux, Slackware, etc.)

This is a performance-based course designed upon the job-related tasks a Linux professional must perform.

At the end of the course a student will be able to:

  • work at the Unix command line
  • perform easy maintenance tasks: help out users, add users to a larger system, backup & restore, shutdown & reboot
  • can install and configure a work station (incl. X) and connect it to the LAN, or a stand-alone PC via modem to the Internet.

Linux LPI Level 1 Certification - Benefits

Reasons for LPI Linux Level 1 Certification include career advancement, personal improvement, skills enhancement, and higher salaries.
