A Firebrand Training
7
Day Course
Our 7 Day MCPD Upgrade is perfect for you if you have already gained the MCAD certification and are developing .NET Framework 2.0 applications that use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or creating Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0.
We offer two MCPD certification paths:
The MCPD Upgrade program is a highly interactive 7-day developer class designed to teach Web and Windows Application Developers how to build interactive, data-driven client applications, targeting the Windows Forms platform using the .NET Framework 2.0 as well as produce intranet and Internet Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
While attending this blended-learning program, you will receive a robust set of course materials that caters to each of the three primary individual learning-intake styles (auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic-tactual) - critical for a successful accelerated learning experience.
Daily lectures, labs, and review sessions are supplemented by a combination of:
Our MCPD program contains customized official Microsoft courseware which covers the following materials:
Existing MCAD certification candidates must pass one certification exam to earn MCPD: Windows Developer certification and one certification exam to earn MCPD: Web Developer. The exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. During the MCPD Upgrade Firebrand Training, students will take the following exams:
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
Successful Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) candidates are expected to have taken and passed the following MCAD exams:
Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (70-306)
or
Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Microsoft Visual C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (70-316)
plus
Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (70-305)
or
Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual C# and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (70-315)
In addition you should candidates should possess the following experience:
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

My instructor was excellent - always staying behind after class to answer any questions. He has a real good teaching technique, making the most complex concepts make sense. And whats more he is a real friendly down-to-earth chap, who deserves a pint!
The accommodation and facilities are really comfortable and the environment is excellent for accelerated learning as there are no distractions.

Our trainer was outstanding and answered all the questions we could throw at him, and also gave us lots of valuable advice from his real-world experience. He also contribute to a fun and positive atmosphere amoung the group. Lessons last all day from around 8:30am to any time in the evening (our earliest finish was around 10:30), with occasional short breaks, making the course very intensive. However, I believe everyone in our group has learned a huge amount and I would recommend the course to any IT professional who learns quickly, isnt afraid of some hard work and can function on little sleep!"
