"The days are crammed with content. There are TVs in the bedrooms but I didn't see the point as I never finished my revision or labs until midnight most evenings. "
Anthony Jackson, XMA Ltd. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (9/11/2009 to 17/11/2009)

"I would definitely recommend Firebrand Training to anyone. It is hard work but all of the staff support you and help you through. Make sure that that you have relevant experience or study hard before you get here to make sure you dont get left behind in the class."
John Davies, Acorn Recruitment. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (14/9/2009 to 22/9/2009)

"Sound tuition, from a knowledgable geezer."
Paul Woodhead, IT Support. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (17/8/2009 to 25/8/2009)

"If I hadnt had a teacher that was funny and kept the lecture intresting I think i would have struggled. The Firebrand Training instructor knew the stuff and was willing to give up the lunch breack and stay behind to help if you were strugling in any of the subjects. "
James Pokorny. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (17/8/2009 to 25/8/2009)

"Never thought I'd actually pass 3 exams in a week. That alone is a testament to your staff and what you do. Facilities were excellent and I'd recommend you to anyone wishing to do a condensed course in order to achieve a pass at an exam."
Michael Francis, Steria IT. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (17/8/2009 to 25/8/2009)

"A very intense and satisfying learning experience which require dedication and hardwork. An environment condusive to positive work. "
Keith Hayward, Out of work. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (20/7/2009 to 28/7/2009)

"A great course indeed, very intensive, but the amount of information is incredible. MCSA is the key course for managing Windows based environments."

Leigh Woodwards. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (20/4/2009 to 28/4/2009)

"I did my MCSA with a fantastic tutor and got excellent results. Class was full of great people from a wide cross section. PS you do need to also put in 12 hours a day in the class with 4 hours revision in your room at night. Shattered (and loving it). Bring it on, cannot wait to go back."
Ian Stockbridge. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (30/3/2009 to 7/4/2009)

"The instructor is perfect - able to both chastise and empathise. Slap down those which need it and build up others all in a very light hearted way. When the crunch came the instructor really knew the material. If you can put up with his bad jokes you will be fine."
Phil Bennett. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (16/2/2009 to 24/2/2009)

Dave Robson. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (26/1/2009 to 3/2/2009)

"Excellent Experience, would higly recommend."

TB. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (18/8/2008 to 26/8/2008)

"The instructor was very knowledgable and enthusiastic both about the curriculum and the real world implementation of the technology. The training encourages a strong camraderie between the delegates which helps with the learning process."
Kevan Boitoult, Steria Services Ltd. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (18/8/2008 to 26/8/2008)

"Although the course was hard work and I did not achieve my MCSA qualification, I did learn a great deal which I am looking forward to put into practice in the real world. I strongly recommend that anyone thinking about doing this course, especially the MCSE, should first have 1-2 years experience with Active Directory before applying. Also, if you are not used to an intense learning environment, then I would suggest breaking the course up into 2 or 3 parts as it can be physically and mentally draining. Overall, I have enjoyed my time here - the enthusiasm and knowledge of the instructor was excellent, and the facilities offered by Firebrand Training(especially the food!) provided a perfect environment for the intense study that the course required."
AT. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (18/8/2008 to 26/8/2008)

"Great, do not expect to sleep. when they said you eat, sleep and train in centre, that is exactly what they mean. It is tough but good."

"Straight to the point, no nonsense training. "
R.K.. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (14/4/2008 to 22/4/2008)

"You know when youve been Firebranded! The course is without doubt a challenge, but inspiring course tuition provided by hugely talented tutors, fantastic food (no chips and dips in sight!) make for an immensely enjoyable, entertaining, rewarding experience! Would definitely come back for more of the same."
Ron Guy. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (3/3/2008 to 11/3/2008)

"No one can deny that the training is tuff, it is an intensive course after all! But the location and environment all help to ensure you do not get distracted. The lectures and course material is well put together and Self test software ensures you get the feel for exams before the real thing. I would return, but not before a long break!"
MC. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (3/3/2008 to 11/3/2008)

"The learning environment is excellent. The food is top notch and the Instructors are exceptional. I have done many courses with other I.T companies in the past but none of them come even close to the whole experience of Firebrand. I would recommend Firebrand to any-one, infact my Girlfriend will now be attending a course there on my recommendations. "
Mark Gray, unemployed. - Microsoft MCSA Windows 7 & XP Certification (9 days) (21/1/2008 to 29/1/2008)

"I found the course very intense, but the our time was managed very well by the instructor so that we were prepared for our exams. A massive amount of material was covered, but it was all valid and I learnt a hell of a lot. The isolation of the site help to focus me and everything we needed was provided. Overall it was a challenging, but positive training experinece which I would definitely consider doing again for another IT qualification. "

For IT managers, certification is particularly important because it allows them to more easily identify the skills that an individual possesses. When a company has employees that possess certain skills, it can garner a competitive advantage when seeking to attract customers. Certification can also contribute to increased productivity, because studies have shown that certified individuals are generally quicker to implement and design new technologies. And of course by knowing that their employees are certified, IT managers can feel more confident about their ability to implement and support a network infrastructure.

Individuals

  • Overwhelmingly, individuals with Microsoft certifications have an advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skill, and command more professional credibility
  • The MCSE is seen as a particularly elite indication of an engineer's prowess and skill level, and these professionals are highly sought by employers
  • Individual students may receive college credits to utilize tuition reimbursement programs for their IT training or to complete college coursework

Companies

  • Reduce the costs of maintaining your workstations and personal computers, and increase the reliability of your network with Active Directory and with the information technology (IT) professionals to back it up
  • Make a roll out of Windows 2003 Server smooth and successful
  • Customers see great value in certification - they want the people on their engagement to have the best skills, and certification provides that proof point
  • Significantly improved Microsoft security throughout the software but particularly in the Web Server component of Windows Server, IIS; Scalable management tools that improve on the legacy of Windows 2000 Server: enhanced Active Directory features, and new tools such as the Group Policy Management Console
  • Significant increases in server performance. In internal tests, Windows Server 2003 shows dramatic performance gains over previous versions of Windows server operating systems. For example, file and Web server performance is two times faster than Windows NT Server 4.0
  • While your organization's performance gains may vary because of unique network and computer settings, Microsoft is confident that the improved performance of Windows Server 2003 will help you deliver faster service for your network solutions

Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.

  • One-on-one instruction attention

Delivery Schedule

"Firebrand constantly monitors its products and adapts them to meet market changes and/or client feedback. One area where we have noticed a change in emphasise is in our MCSA Windows 7 product, where it has become evident that there is a strong demand to cover both client platforms due to Windows XP still being in widespread use. We have therefore taken the decision to replace the existing CompTIA SEC+ element of our course with Windows XP now being the client exam and Windows 7 becoming the elective. All other aspects of our course remains as before." Graeme Phillips, Head of Education, Firebrand Training (September 2008).

The MCSA Windows 7 Security+ Program prepares students to achieve three (3) certifications during the program: MCSA Windows 7, MCP, and MCTS.

  • Configuring Windows 7 Client - Exam 70-680
  • Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment - Exam 70-290
  • Configuring Windows XP Client - Exam 70-270
  • Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure - Exam 70-291
