Day Course
Windows Vista is dubbed as Microsoft's most compelling operating system release in over a decade. Windows Vista offers substantial new capabilities in security, performance, reliability, and manageability. It is also the first operating system released with the .NET Framework 3.0 in mind, and the first client operating system to include the .NET Framework 3.0 as a part of its own installation.
Our 9 day accelerated MCSA Vista certification course provides information technology professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2003 based networks with a focus on the latest Vista operating system. This is an accelerated, residential, fully-immersed course, designed for IT professionals that require effective, real-world skill-building and timely certification. You will live, learn, and test on-site.
The MCSA Vista Accelerated Course delivers the greatest value on the market for Windows Vista/Server 2003 Certification Training. During the program, students will achieve the following certifications:
Our MCSA Vista Program:
For IT managers, certification is particularly important because it allows them to more easily identify the skills that an individual possesses. When a company has employees that possess certain skills, it can garner a competitive advantage when seeking to attract customers. Certification can also contribute to increased productivity, because studies have shown that certified individuals are generally quicker to implement and design new technologies. And of course by knowing that their employees are certified, IT managers can feel more confident about their ability to implement and support a network infrastructure.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Our approach is highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote teamwork, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
You’ll get:
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
"Firebrand constantly monitors its products and adapts them to meet market changes and/or client feedback. One area where we have noticed a change in emphasise is in our MCSA Vista product, where it has become evident that there is a strong demand to cover both client platforms due to Windows XP still being in widespread use. We have therefore taken the decision to replace the existing CompTIA SEC+ element of our course with Windows XP now being the client exam and Windows Vista becoming the elective. All other aspects of our course remains as before." Graeme Phillips, Head of Education, Firebrand Training (September 2008).
The MCSA Vista Security+ Program prepares students to achieve three (3) certifications during the program: MCSA Vista, MCP, and MCTS.

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) candidates on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 track are required to satisfy the following requirements:
The four (4) examinations that a student will take during our program also satisfy the requirements for the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist certification.
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
Students that are successful in the MCSA Vista Accelerated Certification Program should possess a minimum of one and a half years of networking experience supporting a Windows NT/2000/2003 network.
We interview all applicants for the course on their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and general suitability. If you get through this screening process, it means you stand a great chance of passing.
Firebrand Training is an immersive training environment. You must be committed to the course. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

"At first was very apprehensive, but facilities were very very good and the instructor was brilliant, which made a potentially very challenging 8 days actually quite amusing
The course i very hard work and does require some understanding before hand but would recommend and I would happily come back to train some more."

"I found the course very intense, but the our time was managed very well by the instructor so that we were prepared for our exams. A massive amount of material was covered, but it was all valid and I learnt a hell of a lot. The isolation of the site help to focus me and everything we needed was provided. Overall it was a challenging, but positive training experinece which I would definitely consider doing again for another IT qualification.

Microsoft MCSA Vista & XP (9 Days) (18/8/2008 to 26/8/2008)
"The learning environment is excellent. The food is top notch and the Instructors are exceptional. I have done many courses with other I.T companies in the past but none of them come even close to the whole experience of Firebrand. I would recommend Firebrand to any-one, infact my Girlfriend will now be attending a course there on my recommendations.
"
Mark Gray, unemployed.
Microsoft MCSA Vista & XP (9 Days) (21/1/2008 to 29/1/2008)
"Top notch intense training! I leave an MCSA with a head full of knowledge. I have a much better understanding about AD, DNS, DHCP and all the rest of the crazy world of the network administrator.
I would not hesitate to recommend firebrand training to anyone considering the MCSA/MCSE path."
Dave Robson, Damovo Uk.

"No one can deny that the training is tuff, it is an intensive course after all! But the location and environment all help to ensure you do not get distracted. The lectures and course material is well put together and Self test software ensures you get the feel for exams before the real thing. I would return, but not before a long break!"
MC, Cromwell Community College.
Microsoft MCSA Vista & XP (9 Days) (3/3/2008 to 11/3/2008)

The instructor was brilliant. A really friendy guy who new the subject thoroughly."

"If you do not have the time to spare for an extended course, but you are willing to put in the work, you will not find a better training establishment. Rooms are good, staff are excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable, plus due to the on site location it is easy to focus and concentrate on achieving your desired qualification."

Microsoft MCSA Vista & XP (9 Days) (14/4/2008 to 22/4/2008)
"Although the course was hard work and I did not achieve my MCSA qualification, I did learn a great deal which I am looking forward to put into practice in the real world. I strongly recommend that anyone thinking about doing this course, especially the MCSE, should first have 1-2 years experience with Active Directory before applying. Also, if you are not used to an intense learning environment, then I would suggest breaking the course up into 2 or 3 parts as it can be physically and mentally draining.
Overall, I have enjoyed my time here - the enthusiasm and knowledge of the instructor was excellent, and the facilities offered by Firebrand Training(especially the food!) provided a perfect environment for the intense study that the course required."
