A Firebrand Training
12
Day Course
If you are developing .NET Framework 2.0 applications that use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or creating Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0, the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) credentials highlights your job role, featuring your specific area of expertise. Now you can easily distinguish yourself as an expert in Windows development, Web application development, or distributed applications development. There are three MCTS certification paths:
You will have the skills necessary to build interactive, data-driven Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0 for both intranet and Internet uses.
You will have the skills necessary to build rich client applications that target the Windows Forms platform using the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
You will have the skills necessary to develop, implement, and deploy XML Web services, .NET Framework remoting, Enterprise Services, and Message Queuing technology.
The combined MCTS program is a highly interactive 12-day developer class designed to teach Web, Windows, and Distributed Application Developers how to build interactive, data-driven middle-tier and client applications, targeting the Windows Forms platform using the .NET Framework 2.0, produce intranet and Internet Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0, and develop business and data layer applications that use such technologies as Web Services, Remoting, Enterprise Services, and Queuing.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
While attending this blended-learning program, you will receive a robust set of course materials that caters to each of the three primary individual learning-intake styles (auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic-tactual) - critical for a successful accelerated learning experience.
Daily lectures, labs, and review sessions are supplemented by a combination of:
Our MCTS program contains customized official Microsoft courseware which covers the following materials:
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) enables professionals to target specific technologies and distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialised technologies. It allows them to pursue careers as web developers, windows developers, or enterprise application developers. At Firebrand Training we offer an efficient approach to achieve all three certifications in one combined class. The exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. During the MCTS .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 Firebrand Training, students will take the following exams:
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
Candidates for any of the MCTS certifications are expected to have:
or
and
Candidates are also encouraged, but not required, to have the following additional experience for the individual MCTS certifications:
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

M.F., Sopra Group.
ISACA CISM (4 Days) (2/6/2008 to 5/6/2008)
"Be prepared for some long hours and plenty of hard work. Prior to the CCNA course I had never even logged into a router or switch, but with some hard work and a great instructor I managed to pass the mid-week exam to gain the CCENT qualification and just fell short of gaining the full CCNA by 3%. With the course materials and my new knowledge I feel confident of passing the CCNA in the very near future."
SD, Cable & Wireless Guernsey Ltd..
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (30/6/2008 to 5/7/2008)
"As I could not be out of the office for two consecutive weeks, I was able to split the training course in two parts. I have completed the first week and passed all three exams - an excellent way to achieve the qualifications I sought. You do need real world experience though as this course is too intense for beginners."
CM, Edenbrook Ltd.
Microsoft MCSE Vista Security+ Certification (14 Days) (23/6/2008 to 6/7/2008)
"Training was very structured and focused on points that were a need to know. Provided the bases for the use of Prince 2 practises in a real life environment."
Mitesh Kukadia, Hellmann Logistics.
PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner (5 Days) (7/7/2008 to 11/7/2008)
"After a bad "Accellerated Learning" experience with a competitor, I was dubious of the claims that Firebrand were making, however I took the plunge and I am glad I did! Passed my exams with flying colours and I put that down to the great instructor as well as the constructive atmosphere. I will definately return for more!"
Mark Scott, SEA (Group) Ltd..
Microsoft Exchange 2007 (7 Days) (7/7/2008 to 13/7/2008)
"Really good experience and i will definitely be coming back for more!"
Richard Ponton, Dennis Publishing.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (2/6/2008 to 7/6/2008)
"Although the course involved a LOT of work, I could not have wished for a better location and environment for my training, nor could I have asked for better people to get me through it in such a short timescale. My advice to future students is prepare!"
Ralph Carter, AIM technology.
