Microsoft Vista Configuration Training - Overview

Windows Vista is dubbed as Microsoft's most compelling operating system release in over a decade. Windows Vista offers substantial new capabilities in security, performance, reliability, and manageability. It is also the first operating system released with the .NET Framework 3.0 in mind, and the first client operating system to include the .NET Framework 3.0 as a part of its own installation.

Our 3 day accelerated Microsoft Windows Vista Configuration Firebrand Training provides information technology professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Vista. This is an accelerated, residential, fully-immersed course, designed for IT professionals that require effective, real-world skill-building and timely certification. You will live, learn, and test on-site.

Course Objectives. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Install and/or upgrade older Microsoft operating systems to Windows Vista
  • Configure applications and systems used within Windows Vista
  • Understand network connectivity
  • Understand mobile computing
  • Configure security settings
  • Troubleshoot post installation system settings

Our Window Vista Configuration Program:

  • Helps students grasp complex technical concepts more easily by identifying and catering to individual student learning styles through a mixed visual, auditory and kinaesthetic-tactual delivery system
  • Enhances retention by employing accelerated learning techniques focused on committing information to long-term memory

Microsoft Vista Configuration Training - Benefits

For IT managers, certification is particularly important because it allows them to more easily identify the skills that an individual possesses. When a company has employees that possess certain skills, it can garner a competitive advantage when seeking to attract customers. Certification can also contribute to increased productivity, because studies have shown that certified individuals are generally quicker to implement and design new technologies. And of course by knowing that their employees are certified, IT managers can feel more confident about their ability to implement and support a network infrastructure.

Individuals

  • Overwhelmingly, individuals with Microsoft certifications have an advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skill, and command more professional credibility

Human Resources

  • Employer-funded training and certification programs are a key to retaining skilled IT staff. Career development and advancement opportunities are shown to significantly reduce rates of employee turnover
  • Certification Training Programs provide benchmarks for hiring and promotion decisions by accurately assessing technical skills
  • For-certification training programs maximize educational investments through immediate validation of skills

Microsoft certification affords special membership benefits

Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.

Firebrand Training provides instruction to meet every learning need, including

  • Intensive group instruction

Microsoft MCPD Web Developer Certification (9 Days) (4/8/2008 to 12/8/2008)

"An excellent course. The pacing was just right, with several long days of lectures, but with time always being made available for additional reading and lab work, which is essential on a course like this. Despite not completing all the exams yet (I decided to defer the Windows 2008 exams in order to get some more hands on experience with some of the areas I had previously had little exposure to), I will leave the course with a lot more confidence and knowledge than when I came. With a little bit more self study I should be able to successfully complete the exams. The instructor was excellent and made the course very enjoyable. He had vast amounts of real world experience which is always invaluable and was more than happy to elaborate on any questions raised. The whole team at Firebrand were friendly and made the whole prospect of being away from home for 2 weeks much easier than I had anticipated. The food was also varied and of a very high quality. Despite being very apprehensive about attending the course beforehand, I would not hesitate to recommend Firebrand as an effective training solution, and I hope to return to do additional courses in the future!"
Michael Dutton, CP Kelco UK Ltd.
Microsoft MCITP Enterprise Administrator (13 Days) (14/7/2008 to 26/7/2008)

"The experience is a mad one. The days are long (7am - 10pm is quite normal) but having said that I came here with no code knowledge and I am going away with more than enough to really improve my skills and also my work applications. Totaly worth it (thanks to my work for paying). Great teaching, amazingly good food (free! as well). The whole environment is great for learning and no one will come here and disagree... thanks firebrand and thanks to our instructor."
Gareth Snook, HSBC.
