Day Course
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 will help you to increase the flexibility of your server infrastructure while saving time and reducing costs. Powerful new management tools and security enhancements allow you to have more control over your servers while providing advanced protection so you can spend less time on everyday tasks and more time bringing greater value to your organisation.
This course is intended for those delegates who work with Windows 2003 and are currently MCSE 2003 and wish to gain some experience of Windows Server 2008. The course provides an in depth introduction to the Windows Server 2008 platform with hands-on labs to enable delegates to appreciate some of the features contained within.
The primary objective is for delegates to gain a good insight into the features of Windows Server 2008. Upon completion of this course, the attendee will more aware of:
For HR managers, certification is particularly important because it allows them to more easily identify the skills that an individual possesses. When a company has employees that possess certain skills, it can garner a competitive advantage when seeking to attract customers. Certification can also contribute to increased productivity.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
This overview serves as an introduction to Server 2008 and as such does not lead to any specific certifications.
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
There are no pre-requisites for this course, however, attendees are expected to have knowledge of the current Windows server environment.
Delegates must have attained the MCSE 2003 certification.
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
"My instructor has created a new breed of experts and champions. He has maintained a full 100% pass rate on both courses of this dual certification. His dedication to my education and passing cannot be doubted."
JDV, Capgemini UK Plc.
Microsoft SharePoint Developer (Dual MCTS) Certification (5 Days) (4/8/2008 to 8/8/2008)
"CEH is a very intensive course with a wide spectrum of knowledge required. Firebrand will take you though this at high speed, in a quality environment and with excellent materials. To spare yourself some (very) late night reading during the course, and to build confidence for what is a fairly tough exam, I recommend getting in as much background reading as possible beforehand."
MM, allpay.net.
EC-Council CEH (5 Days) (23/6/2008 to 27/6/2008)
"The days were hard, because there was so much to learn, but I enjoyed it. The staff, especially the instructor was very helpful, while I could be fully concentrated on the course. Coming from Germany, the language was no problem to do the training here in England. I have learnt more than a lot in this six days."
Martin Hachenberg, Bewotec GmbH, Germany.
Microsoft MCITP Database Developer (6 Days) (23/6/2008 to 28/6/2008)
"After a bad "Accellerated Learning" experience with a competitor, I was dubious of the claims that Firebrand were making, however I took the plunge and I am glad I did! Passed my exams with flying colours and I put that down to the great instructor as well as the constructive atmosphere. I will definately return for more!"

Microsoft SharePoint Developer (Dual MCTS) Certification (5 Days) (23/6/2008 to 27/6/2008)
"An excellent course. The pacing was just right, with several long days of lectures, but with time always being made available for additional reading and lab work, which is essential on a course like this. Despite not completing all the exams yet (I decided to defer the Windows 2008 exams in order to get some more hands on experience with some of the areas I had previously had little exposure to), I will leave the course with a lot more confidence and knowledge than when I came. With a little bit more self study I should be able to successfully complete the exams.
The instructor was excellent and made the course very enjoyable. He had vast amounts of real world experience which is always invaluable and was more than happy to elaborate on any questions raised.
The whole team at Firebrand were friendly and made the whole prospect of being away from home for 2 weeks much easier than I had anticipated. The food was also varied and of a very high quality.
Despite being very apprehensive about attending the course beforehand, I would not hesitate to recommend Firebrand as an effective training solution, and I hope to return to do additional courses in the future!"
Michael Dutton, CP Kelco UK Ltd.
Microsoft MCITP Enterprise Administrator (13 Days) (14/7/2008 to 26/7/2008)

Murad Sheikh, Targ8 Limited.
Microsoft SharePoint Professional (Dual MCTS) (5 Days) (16/6/2008 to 20/6/2008)
"The course was hard, but the lecturer presented the subject matter in a way that helped it to sink in. The staff were friendly and food was great. The constant supply of snacks and drinks helped to keep the energy levels up, which was needed as the studying went on into the wee small hours.
I would definitely recommend studying with Firebrand Training."
Richard Tomlinson, Self Employed.

"My experience at Firebrand Training, provided a highly focused review of the key exam topics. I would readily recommend this form of training to individuals that have a fundamental understanding of networking concepts and Cisco Technologies; for those new to the industry, however, pick up a book before attending: the speed and intensity of the course will otherwise kill you."

Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) (7 Days) (7/7/2008 to 13/7/2008)
"A boot camp is never going to be easy but having a great lecturer with real world experience and advice is invaluable. It is also a benifit to have all meals provided and scheduled into the day so that you can concerntrate entirely on the course. The people I met on the course were great and have kept in touch with them. To ensure sucesses make sure you do some proper study beforehand but at minimum what you get sent. I did hardly any and still passed but I am sure I would have got more out of it had been able to schedule bit more work.
"
