George McAteer, Angus College,
Microsoft MCSE 2003 Certification (14 Days) (28/3/2005 to 10/4/2005)
"This has been the most challenging and interesting experience for me. The course material covered was very intence and cover a broad spectrum of Core Hardware,Software and Networking +.
I have gained a vest amount of knowkedge by attending this couse which is very useful both to successfully pass this exam and be able to apply in a real world senerio.
I have come away with a wealth of infomation which I would not have full grasp if I had choosed a self study course.
Having had instructor led classes provides the forum for you to interact directly with the instructor for any unbigious course material that you might not otherwise be able to solved if you were on a self tought course. It also provides a forum to get together with other people on the course to share ideas in a study group invironment and confidenct building leading up to the test.
The study material and self testing software is relevant to the course. The self testing software also identifies your strong and weak areas of the course material which I've found particular useful and prepare you for the real test on hand.
I would strongly recommend taking a CompTIA Instuctor led course. "
Anon.,
Selfemployed,
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (9/2/2004 to 15/2/2004)
"An intense two weeks were combined with the best learning experience I've had so far. The instructor knew his stuff and he certainly knows how to get you to remember it. Be prepared to work extremely hard, in an environment where you're very well looked after."
Steven Jenkinson, Small IT Company,
Microsoft MCSE 2003 Certification (14 Days) (26/9/2005 to 9/10/2005)
"A real jolt at first, but you soon get into the "zone" of some serious information absorption. Long intensive days and obviously very accurately focussed towards the goal of exam success. NOTE: spend time pre-reading (essential) and areas of little experience ideally best explored beforehand to keep pace with the course!"
Matthew Saul, Mitsubishi Electric Europe,
Microsoft MCSA 2003 (9 Days) (13/11/2006 to 21/11/2006)
"Great learning environment"
APS, St. Regis Paper Co. Ltd,
CompTIA A+ (4 Days) (24/2/2003 to 28/2/2003)
"This course was very well presented. The instructor conveyed everything very well, and in my opinion probably one of the best instructors I have met.
"
Billy Khan, HP,
PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner (5 Days) (8/10/2007 to 12/10/2007)
"The course provided excellent preparation for the examination and was useful in filling in areas of knowledge that were not as strong as others in my mind."
GC, The University of Salford,
(ISC)2 CISSP Boot Camp (7 Days) (18/9/2006 to 24/9/2006)
"Attending the Firebrand* was invaluable and I don't think I could have made it through the exam on the first go without the guidance and support provided. Our instructor was a CISSP with years of experience and real world knowledge. He was able to cram in ten domains worth of information, but still provide the structure for understanding the overall picture as well as the details. The staff at Firebrand* were very helpful and courteous. Overall it was a very satisfying experience."
RA, AXA Tech UK,
(ISC)2 CISSP Boot Camp (7 Days) (24/1/2005 to 30/1/2005)
"I attended Firebrand* with no background in .NET, and no expectations - except that it was going to be hard work.
The course timetable is even more difficult than I had imagined, but it is achievable as the subject matter is of real interest, and the general buzz of the whole place - both from fellow delegates and the intructors - is uplifting.
If you are an IT professional, with a real interest in what you do and a keen desire to learn, you have all the tools you need. If you are not prepared to work hard and put the time in then I suggest you take up knitting instead."
