A Firebrand Training
4
Day Course
The goal of this four-day accelerated course is to provide IT professionals with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to administer the world's leading database systems and applications. This is a performance-based course designed upon the job-related tasks an advanced professional must perform using new or modified features in the Oracle systems.
Firebrand Training's Program for Oracle 10g DBA Certified Associate Certification affords students the ability to live, learn, and take the vendor exams on-site at our education centres throughout the UK and Europe. Our program is delivered in a distraction-free, immersed environment with on-site accommodations - utilising a curriculum adapted specifically for accelerated learning.
Our instructors are seasoned industry professionals (ranging from renowned authors to senior information technology consultants) with extensive real-world knowledge that is effectively relayed throughout our Oracle Training Camps. The program instructor shall be available at all times to provide individual and group attention, lead lab exercises and practice sessions, and ensure the students' success. Our attention to detail shows in our unsurpassed instruction and customer service, our classroom and testing facilities, and our individual and corporate success stories.
From the skilful crafting of our unique curriculum to our careful selection of courseware to every detail of your training comfort, Firebrand Training is the best way to obtain your Oracle Certification. Other training providers cannot match our commitment to quality instruction-led training and top-notch educational facilities.
The demand for professionals in information technology (IT) is high and the competition for jobs is intense. Individuals, experienced or new to the profession, need to know what skills make them attractive to employers. Employers look for ways to distinguish employees and prospective employees that have the solid foundation of skills needed for effective performance.
The Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) Program helps the IT industry make these distinctions by establishing a standard of competence in specific job roles. An Oracle Certification is a valuable, industry-recognized credential that signifies a proven level of knowledge and ability.
Reasons for OCA certification include career advancement, personal improvement, skills enhancement, and higher salaries. According to Certification Magazine, http:/www.certmag.com, Oracle certified professionals earned 28% more money than the average IT certified professional. In addition, Computer Reseller News, http:/www.crn.com, cites that Oracle certified DBAs on average are paid 21% more than non-certified DBAs.
The Oracle Certified Professional Program can give you a distinct advantage. An OCA Certification demonstrates that you have solid understanding of a job role and Oracle products used in that role. Being an Oracle Certified Professional can help raise your visibility and increase access to the industry’s most challenging opportunities.
The Oracle Certified Associate Program is also valuable to hiring managers who want to distinguish among candidates for critical IT positions. For companies that send employees through annual IT training, certification ensures a return on the training investment by validating the knowledge and understanding gained at training sessions. Companies can also combine certification with an employee development program to enhance employee loyalty and performance on the job.
Hiring certified professionals has a direct impact on a company’s bottom line, as these conclusions from a research study by International Data Corporation** suggest:
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
Firebrand Training has an aggressive educational schedule that thoroughly covers all essential elements necessary to become certified as an OCA:
Oracle 10g Administration I Exam number: 1Z0-042
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
A candidate should have 6 months or more in Oracle and SQL database administration in an enterprise environment.
To achieve OCP certification, candidates are required to attend one instructor led training course from Oracle University.
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

The labs were excellent and worked! The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and approachable. I certainly got what would have taken me years to achieve done in one week. I had planned to spend the whole of next year just on the learning phase of the CCNA so to have the knowledge in one week is priceless. Many thanks."

"Results speak for themselves, I thought initailly that the pace and long days would cause me to fail through fatigue, but at some point it leveled out and all became clear. Total emmersion in the subject together with the commaradery of the other students made the whole experience a fulfilling and rewarding one."
Colin Smith, MOD.
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (30/6/2008 to 6/7/2008)
"A boot camp is never going to be easy but having a great lecturer with real world experience and advice is invaluable. It is also a benifit to have all meals provided and scheduled into the day so that you can concerntrate entirely on the course. The people I met on the course were great and have kept in touch with them. To ensure sucesses make sure you do some proper study beforehand but at minimum what you get sent. I did hardly any and still passed but I am sure I would have got more out of it had been able to schedule bit more work.
"
Richard Whjght, TSG.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV (6 Days) (28/7/2008 to 2/8/2008)
"My experience at Firebrand Training, provided a highly focused review of the key exam topics. I would readily recommend this form of training to individuals that have a fundamental understanding of networking concepts and Cisco Technologies; for those new to the industry, however, pick up a book before attending: the speed and intensity of the course will otherwise kill you."
Gordon Speck, Stockport College.
Cisco CCNA Certification (6 Days) (30/6/2008 to 5/7/2008)
"An excellent course, which covered al the domain well and has the advantage of taking the exam straight after the course."
