EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI) - Overview

As information technology and the Internet become more integrated into today's workplaces, organisations must consider the misuse of technology as a real threat and plan for its eventuality. When cyber crime strikes, the real issue is not the incident itself, but how the organisation responds to the attack.

A specialised and fast growing field of investigation known as computer forensics is a leading defence in the corporate world's armoury against cyber crime. Forensic investigators detect the extent of a security breach, recover lost data, determine how an intruder got past security mechanisms and, potentially, identify the culprit.

The goal of this five day accelerated information security course is to educate cyber crime investigators in the techniques of computer forensics investigation. During the program, students will live, learn, and take certification examinations at one of our state-of-the-art education centres. This program focuses on preparing you with the real-world skills required to pass the CHFI 312-49 examination, which is delivered at the conclusion of the program.

Our Computer Forensics Program:

  • Helps students grasp complex technical concepts more easily by identifying and catering to individual student learning styles through a mixed visual, auditory and kinaesthetic-tactile delivery system
  • Enhances retention by employing accelerated learning techniques focused on committing information to long-term memory
  • Allows you to achieve your certification in half the time of 'traditional training' while delivering industry-leading exam passing percentages

EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI) - Benefits

Technical certification is a sound investment in your career. Although certification does not guarantee success, research has shown that it can have a significant impact on:

  • Morale and confidence
  • Efficiency and productivity on the job: 85% of managers view certified employees as more productive (Gartner Study)
  • Career advancement: 70.8% of IT managers view certification as a criteria for promotion (Gartner Study)
  • Financial rewards

Firebrand Training provides instruction to meet every learning need, including:

  • Intensive group instruction
  • One-on-one instruction attention
  • Hands-on labs
  • Question and answer sessions
  • Friendly competitions between concurrently running classes
  • Independent study
  • Self-testing

Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.

Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.

Firebrand Training provides instruction to meet every learning need, including

  • Intensive group instruction
  • One-on-one instruction attention
  • Hands-on labs
  • Lab partner and group exercises
  • Question and answer drills

This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.

"Firebrand* provided an excellent environment in which to explore and learn a complex technology space. Nothing is too much trouble for their staff, and you are always greeted with a welcome smile. The staff are prepared to go that extra mile to help the students... be it working extra hours in the lab, or preparing additional demonstrations. The instructors are knowledgable about the material, and have a good breadth of knowledge to carry through the course and help explain real-work situations. It is hard work, with long evenings of reading, but you'll also gel with your group and make some great new contacts. And after a hard evening's reading... The kitchen staff welcome you back for the next day with a warm smile and a great Bacon sarnie ! Thank you !!"
