The CompTIA IT Project+ certification validates your knowledge and abilities as an IT project manager.
CompTIA IT Project+ certification is a vendor-neutral credential recognized worldwide. Having an IT Project+ certification is proof that you have the critical knowledge of business practices, interpersonal skills and project management processes, in addition to the ability to effectively plan, implement and complete IT projects on time and within your budget.
The IT Project+ Accelerated Certification Program is appropriate for the following job functions:
Reasons for Microsoft IT Project+ certification include career advancement, personal improvement, skills enhancement, and higher salaries.
The mean compensation for project managers in the United States is now $87,807. Project Managers on the West Coast fare even better, with mean salaries of almost $103,600. Overall, those who have received project management certification through professional associations earn about $5,000 a year more than those without certifications.
Having proof of your skills and knowledge gives you the edge over other candidates when you're applying for a job, providing:
Certification provides companies with skilled employees, leading to:
According to a recent survey developed by RHI Consulting, 23 percent of CIOs named project management as the area in which their staffs could use the most improvement.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
Firebrand Training's CompTIA IT Project+ Accelerated Certification Program is the most effective, efficient way to learn a foundational standard for terms, concepts, and competencies in information system project management.
Students attending this blended-learning program will receive a robust set of course materials that caters to each of the three primary individual learning-intake styles (auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic-tactual) - critical for a successful accelerated learning experience.
Daily lectures, labs, and review sessions are supplemented by a combination of:
The CompTIA IT Project+ Program prepares students to successfully pass the examinations outlined below.
The IT Project+ examination is designed for Information Technology (IT) and business professionals involved with IT projects and business projects with a technology component.
The examination is designed for candidates possessing at least 12 months of cumulative experience in leading, managing and directing small to medium scale IT projects.
IT Project+ examines the business, interpersonal and technical project management skills required to successfully manage IT projects and business initiatives with a technologycomponent.
The exam is in the conventional linear format. There are about 80 questions on the exam and candidate will have 90 minutes to complete the exam. The exam is available in English only.
The table below lists the domains measured by this examination and the extent to which they are represented in the examination:
The candidate selects from four (4) or more response option(s) that best completes the statement or answers the question. Distracters or wrong answers are response options that a candidate with incomplete knowledge or skill would likely choose, but are generally plausible responses fitting into the content area.
Test item formats used in this examination are:
Multiple Choice: The candidate selects one option that best answers the question or completes a statement.
Multiple-Response: The candidate selects more than one option that best answers the question or completes a statement.
Drag and Drop Items: A drag and drop item is an item that requires the candidate to drag a graphic or text to a correct destination

IT Project+ certification provides an independent validation that the project manager has mastered the foundation-level concepts applicable to IT and traditional projects. IT Project+ certifies knowledge mastery equivalent to 2,000-hours project-management experience.
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
"It has been a long and intense course, but certainly worth the eight sleepless nights!
I learnt a massive amount on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 in this period...
Also had the good fortune to have a fantastic group of fellow students, who were able to make at least a few drinks every evening after a days worth of coursework.
This week has been the epitome of the old cliche "work hard, play hard"!"

"The purpose of any training centre is to provide an environment that reinforces the learning process. Our trainer, instilled in me a craving to gain knowledge to a level I did not know I was able attain in such a short space of time. As a result of this experience, I intend to continue with the Cisco accreditation processes and proceed with further education, and I sincerely hope trainers with the calibre of the trainer I had will be available to encourage and inspire me.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (8 Days) (11/5/2008 to 18/5/2008)
"The pre-course reading / preparation is essential to success at Firebrand. I would even recommend you go a bit further into the subject to prepare yourself mentally for the course. I can see now that for high-level certs, having no experience in the field would almost make it impossible to pass the exams.
The A+ and N+ were hard enough - those with absolutely no experience of corporate servers and network will find it tough (but not impossible). However, the Training Centre is excellent and the staff are legendary. You will certainly not regret coming, even if you don't come away with all your certs. I would cetainly come back - but only if I felt properly prepared for the course."
Dan Clarkson, Synergy (Agency Worker).
