A Firebrand Training
3
Day Course
The goal of this three-day accelerated course is to provide professionals with the basic hardware, software, and networking skills necessary to function in an variety of information technology positions. CompTIA's Network+ certification is the premier certification that validates the skills required to excel in the role of a computer technician or support professional. The Network+ certification demonstrates that an individual possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to configure and operate a variety of networking products.
Combined, the A+ and Network+ certifications are backed by major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications.
Firebrand Training's Program for Network+ Certification affords students the ability to live, learn, and take the actual CompTIA exams on-site at our education centres in Europe and the US.
Our program is delivered in a distraction-free, immersed environment with on-site, modern accommodation - utilising a curriculum adapted specifically for accelerated learning. Our instructors are cross-certified industry professionals (ranging from renowned authors to senior information technology consultants) with extensive real-world knowledge that is effectively relayed throughout our Firebrand Trainings.
Instructors are available at all times to provide individual and group attention, lead lab exercises and practice sessions, and ensure the students' success. Our attention to detail shows in our unsurpassed instruction and customer service, our classroom and testing facilities, and our individual and corporate success stories.
From the skilful crafting of our unique curriculum to our careful selection of courseware to every detail of your training comfort, Firebrand Training is the best way to obtain your Network+ certifications. Other training providers cannot match our commitment to quality instruction-led training and top-notch educational facilities.
The Network+ is an internationally recognized course that teaches data communication and network skills. It is developed directly from the COMPTIA Network+ and reflects the type of skills that are needed to excel in the role of a Computer Support Professional. Network+ certification proves that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to install, manage and troubleshoot a variety of networks on any platform.
Reasons for Network+ certification are as follows:
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
Firebrand Training has an aggressive educational schedule that thoroughly covers all essential elements necessary for certification.
Firebrand Training uses Comp TIA courseware for the highest standard training of Network+ certified professionals:
Through lecture, group discussion, and lab work, you will learn the following concepts and skills:
The objectives are in two distinct groups: Knowledge of Networking Technology and Knowledge of Networking Practices. The exam consists of 85 questions and a maximum allowable time of 90 minutes.
Firebrand Training offers top-quality technical education and certification training in an all-inclusive course package specifically designed for the needs and ease of our students. We attend to every detail so our students can focus solely on their studies and certification goals.
Our instructors teach to accommodate every student's learning needs through individualised instruction, hands-on labs, lab partner and group exercises, independent study, self-testing, and question/answer drills.
Firebrand Training has dedicated, well-equipped educational facilities where you will attend instruction and labs and have access to comfortable study and lounging rooms. Our students consistently say our facilities are second-to-none.
Should a student complete a Firebrand Training Program without having successfully passed all vendor examinations, the student may re-attend that program for a period of one year. Students will only be responsible for accommodations and vendor exam fees.
Students who are successful in the the Network+ certification preparation course should possess:
Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
"Does what it says on the tin. Outstanding place to study and the tutoring second to none. It was hard work but worth it. You get what you put in! "
Mark Gregory, Warners Midlands PLC.
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (9/8/2004 to 15/8/2004)
"The training school system does work for those who are prepared to work every hour the mind and body can take ... be prepared for around 6 hours of sleep each day (if that) ... people call it a boot camp .. I would say more like a brain bank where you gain good interest on your hard work and dedication to the task at hand but very little return if you don't. Be also prepared for the possible let down of an exam failure or the sudden andrenalin kick if you pass."
Derek Hart, self employed.

"After my first visit to Tadley Court and my subsequent visit to Heythrop Park I wouldn't go anywhere else to train. The Firebrand* environment kept me totally focused for the job at hand with no distractions. The staff were friendly and helpful and Graham's (the Instructor) training technique an explanations made it easy to understand what was going on at all times."

"I have worked in the IT industry for a number of years now, and honestly thought that I was coming here and was going to coast through the course and just get my bit of paper at the end of it. HOWEVER this turned out not to be the case, and I am eternally gratefully to my Instructor for his clear concise teaching method, and would recommend this to everyone, (well not those who are faint-hearted!!)"
Grahame Scott, St Regis Paper Co.
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (9/2/2004 to 15/2/2004)
"Looking for IT training to effect a career change turned out to be a daunting task with so many providers. Firebrand appeared to be streets ahead in their descriptions and offers of solid and weel structured training. I was not dissapointed they provided everything and more to get me through my training. Thank you"
Gary Robinson, Meridian.
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (7/4/2008 to 13/4/2008)
"The pre-course reading / preparation is essential to success at Firebrand. I would even recommend you go a bit further into the subject to prepare yourself mentally for the course. I can see now that for high-level certs, having no experience in the field would almost make it impossible to pass the exams.
The A+ and N+ were hard enough - those with absolutely no experience of corporate servers and network will find it tough (but not impossible). However, the Training Centre is excellent and the staff are legendary. You will certainly not regret coming, even if you don't come away with all your certs. I would cetainly come back - but only if I felt properly prepared for the course."
Dan Clarkson, Synergy (Agency Worker).
CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification (7 Days) (10/3/2008 to 16/3/2008)
"Firebrand* is an experience that is unlike any other. It is not like uni or college. Don't go if you want to have a laugh (it's not for the faint hearted). Do go if your serious about learning and want to better your career prospects. you'll certainly learn a lot even if you don't pass!!!"
KW, ultrak uk (Honeywell).
CompTIA Network+ (3 Days) (16/7/2004 to 18/7/2004)
"I would absolutely recommend this training centre, as it was a truly positive experience from start to finish. Everything surpassed my expectations and it is a testament to all staff involved, on site and off."
Brent Carpenter, Anglo-American Vulcanized Fibre Ltd.
