Day Course
SSCP Certification was designed to recognize an international standard for practitioners of information security [IS] and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). It focuses on practices, roles and responsibilities as defined by experts from major IS industries. Certification can enhance an IS career and provide added credibility.
The goal of this seven-day accelerated course is to provide IT and information security professionals with a fully-immersed, zero-distraction, all-inclusive SSCP training and certification experience.
Our SSCP Firebrand Training encompasses the (ISC)2 SSCP CBK Review Seminar, intense hands-on instruction, on-site examination delivery, meals, and accommodation.
SSCP accreditation provides information security personnel and their employers with international credibility. It also gives their employers a reliable measure of professional competence. As the demand for SSCP certification has more than doubled in the past year, Firebrand Training has responded with an all-inclusive, hands-on, seven-day training program tailored specifically to its knowledge requirements.
The key advantage of authorized (ISC)2 Institute Training is fundamental: The institute's goal is to provide an extensive overview of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), the compendium of information security practices and standards compiled and continually updated by (ISC)2 and used as the basis for the SSCP exam.
The benefits listed below are but a few of the advantages you can receive when doing business with an (ISC)2 host partner. Only authorised host partners:
Information security professionals invest substantially in information assets, including technology, architecture and process. But how can protection of these assets be ensured? Only through the strengths of the professionals in charge.
Industry standards, ethics and certification of IS professionals and practitioners becomes critical to ensuring a higher standard for security is achieved. ISC2, as the only not-for-profit consortium charged with maintaining, administering and certifying IS professionals in the Common Body of Knowledge [CBK], is the premier resource for IS professionals worldwide.
When you have certified personnel on staff, your company is operating at a known level of professional competency. Your risks are lowered and your liabilities decreased. Customers and investors are assured that your company can protect their investment. SSCPs have demonstrated their extensive knowledge of security administration. They have the ability to implement and maintain highly secure systems and to respond quickly to problems and violations. They reduce your risks and limit potential reputation, financial and business losses.
SSCP certification reduces training costs, as well by identifying highly qualified individuals for your security positions; people that can train and mentor your staff and improve their security awareness. A company-mandated certification program improves employee morale by creating a consistent career path that guarantees an employee's skills will remain current. It also improves your ability to attract and retain a highly competent staff.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
The curriculum for the SSCP seminar is under continuous review, ensuring current information relevant to the seven CBK domains below.
Concepts, Terms of Subjects and Objects, Implementation of Authentication Techniques
Principles, Practices, Mechanisms, Audits, Systems Maintenance, Analysis of Exploits
Business and Security Requirements for Cryptography, Principles of Certificates and Key Management, Secure Protocols

Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.

Daniel Jones, Bond Pearce LLP.
"It was good to be in a dedicated learning environment away from every day distractions. But be prepared for long days and lots of self study. Also with the help and expertise of the tutor I have increased my knowledge of Oracle and know in what areas I need to do further studying. The accommodation was good and the food excellent."
IB, Microgen Ltd.
"The training course with Firebrand was excellent, I do not believe I could have acheived my results in another setting or with another style of teaching."
Nathan Lee Cartwright, Contoso.com, its all I can think of! Seriously though, its SafeCom.
"Very knowledgeable instructor!"
RL, euromoney.

"
Lloyd McGregor, CapGemini.
"This was my first experience of this type of training and although I found it to be very tiring, it was extremely good and I ultimately came away with deep knowledge on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. Our instructor was totally professional and is quite obviously passionate about the subject matter.
"
Richard Kay, Jersey Trust Company.
"Accelerated learning is hard work. Come prepared to a great environment for an intensive learning session, but leave satisfied and rewarded. "
David Lloyd, RWEDEA UK.
"The facilities provided by Firebrand Training was fantastic. The work load was hardgoing but well worth the effort and hardwork. The instructor was absolutely top-class and answered not only class questions but also real life questions. Would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Firebrand to friends and work colleques."
JASON ALI, business services and solutions limited.
"The location and the trainer provides a perfect environment if you want to pass CCNA! I have never dealt with any of the content before and now feel stong enough to carry on with my studies! Although I did not pass my exams I feel that I have been given the right tools to fly through my re-sits! I would stongly reccommend Firebrand to EVERYONE!"
David Cooper, MAP Electrics.
"This is a professional and well delivered course. However do not consider such a condensed course if you are either inexperienced in the IT field or you are unprepared! The Comptia certification is not a soft or easy option for the inexperienced! Prepare to work very hard for very long hours and you may be rewarded for your efforts."
Simon Chandler, DJO UK Ltd.
"A first-class course, well delivered by an excellent instructor."
Trevor Riley, PSU Technology Group.
"It is an ideal place to learn - away from the problems of work. "
Chris Lovell, Lloyds TSB PLC.

"The training course with Firebrand was excellent, I do not believe I could have acheived my results in another setting or with another style of teaching."
Nathan Lee Cartwright, Contoso.com, its all I can think of! Seriously though, its SafeCom.
"Everything was excellent from the standard of the teaching to the food. Simply the best environment to learn in."
DA,
"It was one of the hardest weeks in my life, but allowed me to achieve qualification in a really short time."
FM, Salmon Limited.
"The course was very hard going but very good. The centre, all the staff and the food were all excellent. The only thing that I would advise is that you have a very good understanding of computers and IT before you come. This was a complete career change for me and I had very little computing knowledge when I started, unlike everyone else on the course, but I worked hard and manged to get my first IT qualification. So it can be done. Would definitley recommend Firebrand Training. "
MP, un-employed.
"A great week, very tiring and very intense. Good group morale, with enthusiastic discusion during revision times. A very positive environment."
