A Firebrand Training
7
Day Course
SSCP Certification was designed to recognize an international standard for practitioners of information security [IS] and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). It focuses on practices, roles and responsibilities as defined by experts from major IS industries. Certification can enhance an IS career and provide added credibility.
The goal of this seven-day accelerated course is to provide IT and information security professionals with a fully-immersed, zero-distraction, all-inclusive SSCP training and certification experience.
Our SSCP Firebrand Training encompasses the (ISC)2 SSCP CBK Review Seminar, intense hands-on instruction, on-site examination delivery, meals, and accommodation.
SSCP accreditation provides information security personnel and their employers with international credibility. It also gives their employers a reliable measure of professional competence. As the demand for SSCP certification has more than doubled in the past year, Firebrand Training has responded with an all-inclusive, hands-on, seven-day training program tailored specifically to its knowledge requirements.
The key advantage of authorized (ISC)2 Institute Training is fundamental: The institute's goal is to provide an extensive overview of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), the compendium of information security practices and standards compiled and continually updated by (ISC)2 and used as the basis for the SSCP exam.
The benefits listed below are but a few of the advantages you can receive when doing business with an (ISC)2 host partner. Only authorised host partners:
Information security professionals invest substantially in information assets, including technology, architecture and process. But how can protection of these assets be ensured? Only through the strengths of the professionals in charge.
Industry standards, ethics and certification of IS professionals and practitioners becomes critical to ensuring a higher standard for security is achieved. ISC2, as the only not-for-profit consortium charged with maintaining, administering and certifying IS professionals in the Common Body of Knowledge [CBK], is the premier resource for IS professionals worldwide.
When you have certified personnel on staff, your company is operating at a known level of professional competency. Your risks are lowered and your liabilities decreased. Customers and investors are assured that your company can protect their investment. SSCPs have demonstrated their extensive knowledge of security administration. They have the ability to implement and maintain highly secure systems and to respond quickly to problems and violations. They reduce your risks and limit potential reputation, financial and business losses.
SSCP certification reduces training costs, as well by identifying highly qualified individuals for your security positions; people that can train and mentor your staff and improve their security awareness. A company-mandated certification program improves employee morale by creating a consistent career path that guarantees an employee's skills will remain current. It also improves your ability to attract and retain a highly competent staff.
Other accelerated training providers rely heavily on lecture and independent self-testing and study.
Effective technical instruction must be highly varied and interactive to keep attention levels high, promote camaraderie and teamwork between the students and instructor, and solidify knowledge through hands-on learning.
This information has been provided as a helpful tool for candidates considering certification. Benefits of certification determined through studies do not guarantee any particular personal successes. Firebrand Training provides a guarantee of obtaining certification at the camp, but does not make any guarantees about personal successes or benefits of obtaining certification.
The curriculum for the SSCP seminar is under continuous review, ensuring current information relevant to the seven CBK domains below.
Concepts, Terms of Subjects and Objects, Implementation of Authentication Techniques
Principles, Practices, Mechanisms, Audits, Systems Maintenance, Analysis of Exploits
Business and Security Requirements for Cryptography, Principles of Certificates and Key Management, Secure Protocols
Differentiate between Viruses, Trojan Horses and Worms, Identification of Virus Activity

Firebrand Training staff interview all potential students regarding their technical background, degrees and certifications held, and personal fortitude. This screening process ensures a successful match between the customer and Firebrand Training toward accelerated training and certification.
Firebrand Training is an aggressive training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through Firebrand Training.
"Our instructor is the best teacher I have ever had, if there were more teachers like him in school when I was growing up, I would of probably asked for more help. Fantastic life coach also, pick up the ball and run with it and don't give up, you are a hard worker and provided you put in 100%, Ill put in 110%. He was true to his EVERY word, I believe he put in more that anyone else would. "

"The purpose of any training centre is to provide an environment that reinforces the learning process. Our trainer, instilled in me a craving to gain knowledge to a level I did not know I was able attain in such a short space of time. As a result of this experience, I intend to continue with the Cisco accreditation processes and proceed with further education, and I sincerely hope trainers with the calibre of the trainer I had will be available to encourage and inspire me.

ISACA CISM (4 Days) (2/6/2008 to 5/6/2008)
"A poet could probably describe the experience better, but I'd start by saying the course was a relentless and torrential learning experience. From the day you arrive to the moment you leave, you are in a concentrated learning environment and you mind is assualted with education. I feel the use of aggressive adjectives is apt as you will learn, you will learn quickly and you don't have a choice in the matter, which is exceptional. Most people who require a course like this lead busy lives and don't have time away from work to learn new skills. It is ideal for the subject. I also wish that University was presented in a way like this. It would have been much more productive to complete a semester in 9 days than 6 months..."

Cisco CCNA 2007 Certification (6 Days) (<--Please Select-->)
"When they say intensive they mean it! 8:30 to 8:00 every day and 3 or 4 hours of homework every day. I have not worked this hard in a long long time. The breaks we did get meant eating the very good food, far top fast to enjoy it! Bring your MP3 player if you need music to study as it's quiet and beautiful surroundings are sometimes a bit too quiet!"
